We believe education is one key to a robust, healthy food system. Our community education programs help islanders of all ages learn to grow food, connect to local farms and feel empowered to make healthy eating choices.
Food waste and hunger are two issues that are inextricably linked. Nationwide, 40% of the food that is grown is never eaten, yet 1 in 6 Americans suffer from food insecurity. Our Food Equity and Recovery initiatives aim to close the loop on these issues in our community.
