Frequently Asked Questions   +

When is the Pantry open?

The Pantry is open for online pre-order pick up only on:

Monday 2-4pm

Wednesday 1-6pm

Saturday 10-12pm (hours may be subject to change seasonally)

Seniors only can shop in person on Fridays from 12pm-1:45pm

How often can I come to the Pantry?

Pantry clients are able to shop once a week

If I’m a senior can I also shop online?

As a senior you also have the option to shop online for pre-order pick up on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday.  However, you are limited to one visit per week.

If I place an online order and I’m unable to make my pick up time can I still come?

Yes, while we always encourage people to stick to their pick up time we do understand that things happen.  We would rather you come later, or earlier, rather than not at all.  If you need to change your order time please try to text us at 508-296-8384.  We’re not always able to reply but still appreciate you taking the time to alert us to necessary changes.

What to do if you’re unable to pick up your order

If you are unable to come at all you will need to email us at pantry@igimv.org to let us know that you need to cancel your order.  If you follow these instructions we can cancel your order and give you the opportunity to order for another day.  If you don’t show up and you don’t email us you won’t be able to order again until the following week.

What if I’m not a senior but unable to access the internet or lack the ability to use the online portal?

We can make accommodations for anyone unable to access our online shopping platform due to lack of internet or a disability that would be best accommodated during in person shopping hours.  However, arrangements will need to be made in advance for accommodations so please reach out to us via email at pantry@igimv.org, or call or text us at ‪(508) 296-8384‬.  We check our messages as frequently as we can.

What to bring when picking up your pre-order

We ask that all clients come prepared when checking in with your order number and pick up time.  This can be found on your email confirmation from SmartChoice confirming that your order has been placed.

If you have multiple orders to pick up, which we encourage, it’s always helpful for you to write down all the order numbers you plan to pick up.

Please bring reusable shopping bags for your dry goods, frozen and dairy items.  We will only provide bags for your fresh produce.  We recommend 2 for most orders but if you have a larger order please bring what you feel is necessary.

Rules to follow while picking up your food

Safety is a top priority so we ask that clients refrain from using their cell phones during the check in and pick up process.  Cars are following specific traffic patterns so we need your focus and ability to advance your car.  We also often have bread and other items to offer you so it helps to have your full attention.
