Accessing the Island Food Pantry

Seniors (60+)

Register

Come to the Pantry in person on Fridays between noon and 1:45pm and we will help you register as a new client.

Shopping Hours

In person at the Pantry each week on Fridays from noon – 1:45pm.

Delivery

If you are unable to come to the Pantry in person and need grocery delivery, please call or text us at 508-296-8384 and we will find a solution to get you the food you need.

All Other Clients

All other clients under 60 years old pre-order the food they need online, and then choose a pick-up time that works for them to come get their food.

6pm Tuesday through 8am Wednesday

 FAQs

  • The Pantry is open for online pre-order pick up only on:

    • Monday 2 – 4pm

    • Wednesday 1 – 6pm

    • Saturday 10 – noon (hours may be subject to change seasonally)

    • Seniors only: In-person shopping Fridays from noon – 1:45pm

  • Pantry clients are able to shop once a week.

  • As a senior you also have the option to shop online for pre-order pick up on Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday. However, you are limited to one visit per week.

  • Yes. While we encourage people to stick to their pick-up time, we understand that things happen. We would rather you come later, or earlier, rather than not at all. If you need to change your order time, please try to text us at 508-296-8384. We’re not always able to reply but still appreciate you taking the time to alert us to necessary changes.

  • If you are unable to come at all, email pantry@igimv.org to cancel your order. If you follow these instructions, we can cancel your order and give you the opportunity to order for another day. If you don’t show up and you don’t email us, you won’t be able to order again until the following week.

  • We can make accommodations for anyone unable to access our online shopping platform due to lack of internet or a disability that would be best accommodated during in-person shopping hours. Arrangements must be made in advance, so please reach out to us via email at pantry@igimv.org, or call/text us at (508) 296-8384. We check messages as frequently as we can.

    • Your Pantry Easy confirmation number and pick-up time:

      • Your confirmation number will include the date followed by a 3-digit order number, for example: 20260601-001.

      • The last three digits (001 in this example) are your order number and are all you’ll need at check-in.

    • If you have multiple orders, write down all order numbers.

    • Bring reusable shopping bags for dry goods, frozen items, and dairy. We will only provide bags for fresh produce. We recommend 2 bags for most orders, but bring more if needed.

    • Please refrain from using cell phones during check-in and pick-up.

    • Follow the traffic patterns as directed.

    • Pay attention so you don’t miss bread or other items we may be offering.
