FREE FOOD WASTE DROP-OFF

Drop off household food waste for free at the Island Grown Farm, Chappy ferry dock, and select Island transfer stations. Edgartown, Chilmark, and West Tisbury are currently accepting food waste drop off for free. The service is $2 for a five-gallon bucket at the remaining transfer stations.
Free countertop buckets are available at all Island waste facilities and the Island Grown office.

Our Mobile Market will be on the road June through October delivering farm-fresh produce and eggs.

Community Garden

Since 2013, we’ve made plots of land available at the IGI farm for community members to “rent” for a small fee. We now have 45 plots, on which islanders of all ages and all gardening skill levels grow beautiful abundant gardens using organic techniques. Members grow their own food while sharing gardening tips, recipes, and encouragement of one another. If you’re interested in reserving a plot for next season, please email emily@igimv.org.
