Farm Program Assistant (July - August 2026, Full or Part Time)

IGI is seeking a hardworking and community-oriented staff member to support multiple programs on our regenerative farm including Gleaning, CSA, food distribution and deliveries, and field work. The position begins July 1, 2026 and ends August 31, 2026 with the opportunity for a full or part time schedule ranging from 20-40 hours per week. This position is open to applicants between 16 - 21 years old.

Compensation is $18-$20/hr, based on experience.

Field Crew (2026 Season)

The Island Grown Farm is seeking hard-working farmers to join our field crew for the 2026 season. Farm workers will be a part of developing and implementing regenerative growing practices while growing food for our community. Employment runs May through the fall, limited housing available.

Food Systems Internship (July - August 2026, Part Time)

Join IGI this summer for a hands-on introduction to the Island’s food system. This paid internship invites teens and young adults to explore food equity, agriculture, and community-based work from seed to fork.

Interns work alongside IGI staff across programs, from farming and food distribution to community meals, education, Island farm visits, and the Food Pantry.

This six-week experience builds practical skills and offers a holistic look at how food moves through our community, helping develop the next generation of food system leaders.

This is a paid internship made possible with support from Slough Farm Foundation.
