Administrative Manager (Full Time)

We’re hiring an Administrative Manager who provides communication and organizational support to the organization, its programs, and the Board of Directors. The Administrative Manager handles clerical and administrative tasks, improves processes and policies, and works closely with both Co-Executive Directors. This is a year-round position eligible for medical and dental insurance. Within the salary structure of IGI, this position is compensated between $70k and $75k.

Gleaning & Distribution Assistant (April-December)

IGI is seeking a farm-based staff member to share food through our Gleaning, CSA, and wholesale programs, harvest and distribute surplus food from farms across the island, facilitate field trips for students of all ages at IGI’s regenerative farm, and assist with our venison donation program. This position begins as early as April 1, 2026 and ends on December 31, 2026 with potential for year-round employment. Work averages 40 hours a week over the course of the season. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Field Crew (2026 Season)

The Island Grown Farm is seeking hard-working farmers to join our field crew for the 2026 season. Farm workers will be a part of developing and implementing regenerative growing practices while growing food for our community. Employment runs May through the fall, limited housing available.

Food Systems Internship (Part Time, July - August 2026)

Join IGI this summer for a hands-on introduction to the Island’s food system. This paid internship invites teens and young adults to explore food equity, agriculture, and community-based work from seed to fork.

Interns work alongside IGI staff across programs, from farming and food distribution to community meals, education, Island farm visits, and the Food Pantry.

This six-week experience builds practical skills and offers a holistic look at how food moves through our community, helping develop the next generation of food system leaders.

This is a paid internship made possible with support from Slough Farm Foundation.
